Bill Girard is Vice President and Portfolio Manager at 1832 Asset Management L.P. and is responsible for over $10 billion in corporate credit assets.
As a member of the 1832 Asset Management fixed income team, Bill is responsible for the analysis and management of credit exposure across certain funds and client portfolios. Since joining the firm, Bill has established a successful track record in value-added trading, research and portfolio management. This has led him into successively more senior positions within the firm.
Prior to joining 1832 Asset Management L.P. in 1994, Bill spent six years in Corporate Credit and Corporate Banking at Scotiabank.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami, graduating Beta Gamma Sigma. Bill is a CFA Charterholder and is a past director of the Toronto CFA Society.
